You’ve Got You To Blame For What You Do

July 18, 2009

I’m super tired to this will be a quick blog. And I hit my head on the corner of a table so it hurts =(

Today was fun; after work I went to Jer’s and we went to Buffalo Wild Wings, his mom’s, and then back to his apartment. We played ping-pong! I totally won. He bought me an early one-month anniversary present, a book on how to use a MAC – its perfect. :D I know what I’m getting him, but I’m aiming to give it to him on the 29th lol.

I was really not feeling good once I decided to go home, and by the time I was almost home, I was barely awake while driving. Like, I remember driving but it was completely automatic by me.

Destination Kent wasn’t as bad as I had thought. It had its boring parts, and my feet/legs were about to give out on the way to the truck while leaving, but I managed. I’m just all that much more excited to actually go, now. I put my classes into my calendar and printed out a schedule for the week, bought a bunch of things, and want to go NOW. My parents were looking around while I was fixing a scheduling issue, and brought me an application for PARTA (Portage Area Regional Transportation Authority) and said that they’d pay for my CDL training/classes, along with giving me a job driving a bus. Jer said it was probably one of the best on-campus jobs, so I plan on at least trying for it. I’d probably be (not to be bigheaded, but…) one of the best-qualified on initial entry, I’ve been driving since I was 7 for crying out loud – there isn’t much I haven’t done in a vehicle, and not many types that I haven’t driven. I made a few cool friends at Kent, so that’s a plus. I took a shower this morning and while in there, realized that I had forgotten to turn off my second alarm (I somehow woke up with the first one) and was hoping that my roommate was a heavy sleeper. It was on quiet, at least, because I almost didn’t wake up. I came back to my room to him still zonked out and my phone going off. All was well.

Going to Jeremy’s tomorrow – I think he got ‘Watchmen’ on DVD. w00t!

If you’re listening, sing it back…

Today was fun. I’m very tired though, stupid mono. :[ This morning, I went to lunch & shopping at Southpark with Jer. Let me reiterate that I don’t like Panera. The first time I ate there, I got a chicken sandwich. Who serves grilled chicken cold? I specifically asked the cashier if the chicken was hot on the sandwich she suggested and she said yes. I get it, and after taking off the bacon and tomato, take a bite and realize that the chicken is cold. It’s spicy hot, not temperature hot. I can’t win.

Then we go to H&M where I buy one shirt (which later turns out to be too small, his fault) and a pair of $6 sunglasses that I don’t think I like anymore. He bought like three shirts and three pairs of pants. $17 vs $112. I didn’t buy anything in any other stores, and I don’t think he did either. We went home and watched Shawn of the Dead until he had to leave for work.

I went online to Lynda.com and started watching PHP Object-Oriented Programming videos again. I think I finally understand its usefulness. I hope. There’s a ton of videos and I’m still on the basics, though. T_T

I went to see Transformers 2 (again) with Angela. I love that movie! Unfortunately I got tired and sorta wanted to leave, so the ending wasn’t as good. I also realized that it looked a bit too animated at parts. I guess you can’t make the entire thing perfect. After the movie was more fun. I got a hot chocolate and we went out to sit in her truck. She said that her dad had been using her radio (she doesn’t; she always has CDs) so we programmed the radio stations to static. FM1 & FM2 are exactly the same, also. Once my hot chocolate was gone, I set my trucks alarm off so we could find it and drop me off. I jokingly said ‘race ya home?’ so she jumped in her truck and took off ahead of me. I figured that I’d go up granger hill and take 480 home, the freeway always seems faster. Before I even got off of Canal Rd, I realized that I had left my phone in her truck. I don’t know why but I felt like I needed it badly, and having just seen Transformers, I wanted to drive like I was on a mission. Maybe its a guy thing. In either case, 4 minutes and several risky driving maneuvers later, I caught up to her. There was a car in front and behind her, and we’re on a 2 lane double yellow line road. I moved into the oncoming traffic lane and flashed my lights like five times. I guess she saw, because she pulled over at the next side street. She told me that she called my mom (thanks Angela :D ) and also called me, not being her most intelligent move. At any rate, I have my phone back.
